Jewelry Care
GOLD:
Gold is naturally a non-tarnishing material but over time it can get dull and dirty
You may clean it between professional cleanings with a non-abrasive brush or
cloth using a gentle detergent cleaner
Please check regularly for stone settings
and chain connections to ensure they are secure
Storage is very important, and we recommend that you store your Hi June Parker
jewelry in the pouch that it came in, or a jewelry box between wearings
STERLING SILVER:
Sterling Silver tarnishes and it accelerates with exposure to salt, perfume, air,
products containing sulphur such as rubber bands and some types of paper
Regular use of silver requires less care, so we encourage you to wear your silver
pieces every day
You may clean it between professional cleanings with warm water and a mild
detergent by hand, or a jewelry polishing cloth
If your silver pieces get wet, we recommend that you dry it immediately to avoid
spotting
Storage is very important, and we recommend that you store your Hi June Parker
jewelry in the pouch that it came in, or a jewelry box between wearings
PEARL
Pearls are ranked 2.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. They are very soft and can easily scratched. (For reference, diamonds on ranked 10 on the Mohs hardness scale).
Pearl jewelry should never be cleaned in an ultrasonic or steam cleaner as they can be damaged. We recommend that you use a soft dry cloth to wipe the pearls occasionally after wearing them. If necessary, you can use warm soapy water and soft cloth to clean the pearls.
If the pearls are strung, make sure that they are dry before wearing them again after cleaning them.
Store your pearl jewelry separately from other jewelry with harder gemstones as they can scratch your pearls. We recommend you store your pearls in the Hi June Parker jewelry pouch or box that it came in.
